After meeting through an online dating agency the previous year, Peter took Tracy away for the weekend on her birthday. Before leaving home he’d planned everything, bringing romantic candles and rose petals with him – even remembering a fiancée birthday card!
The following morning, the couple started thinking about when they would get married and where. First and foremost they both agreed that an exclusive venue was important to them deciding to get married sooner rather than later. Tracy quickly found West Tower online, immediately showing Peter. Without delay they booked their first venue viewing the following week
“As soon as we arrived we just knew it was for us. We booked our wedding date that evening, never looking anywhere else.”
The Style of the day
Tracy chose a winter theme for her November Wedding with ivory, silver and soft whites, knowing that she wanted a classy and elegant wedding which was very much in keeping with the feel of West Tower.
Large white flowers, silver ting ting and berries helped create the effect with soft white voile in the Ballroom
Their 3 tier cake of Victoria sponge, chocolate orange and chocolate fudge was covered in tempered white chocolate. Coupled with white wedding lips for the ladies and milk chocolate moustaches for the men were cancer research pins completing the guest favours.
Finally choosing a designer gown by Gemy Maalouf called ‘Gretta’ with a stunning beaded and diamante top, Tracy completed her outfit with an Ostrich shrug, hair vine, Swarovski jewellery and Manolo Blahnik ‘Hangisi’ shoes. Especially unusual were the bridesmaid dresses which seemed to change colour, indoors they looked silver grey whilst outside in daylight they took on a blue hue.
Peter’s heavyweight herringbone 3 piece suit and tails was just right, with covered buttons and brown shoes finishing it to perfection. His ivory cravat matched Tracy’s dress whilst the groomsmen wore a slate coloured cravat to match the girl’s dresses.
Tracy’s stepdad Graham walked her down the aisle to ‘A Thousand Years’ played by the Northern String Quartet. After the light hearted ceremony, the happy couple walked out to The Beatles ‘All you need is love’.
Cava and Canapes were served whilst a close-up magician entertained the party. The couple were thrilled they had chosen a selection of starters, main courses and desserts to offer their guests a choice menu. Later on the Hog Roast went down a treat in the evening – with everyone enjoying the feast provided.
The couple’s first dance was to Kodyline’s ‘The One’ which was performed by their evening singer Peter Hill.
Both Peter and their DJ kept the dance floor rocking all night with Tracy’s thoughtful provision of flip flops very gratefully received by the ladies!
“West Tower ticked all the boxes If we could do it all again we wouldn’t change a thing.”
