After getting engaged, Natasha and Gary began thinking about exactly the type of wedding they wanted. They put together some mood boards and ideas for colour schemes and used all their initial thoughts to help them find the perfect wedding venue in Lancashire for their rock n roll wedding.
Some of the other elements important to the pair were venue exclusivity, location and a wedding venue with on-site accommodation. They wanted to find somewhere they could celebrate their whole day that was also close to all their family and friends.
“As soon as I found West Tower online I knew there was something different about it. Within a few minutes of arriving at the venue, we were certain it was where we wanted our special day to take place.” – Natasha
The style of the day
One of the initial ideas the pair had for their wedding was a music-inspired day. With music playing a huge part in both of their lives, it was a great way for the two to inject their personalities into their day. Their table centrepieces were made out of old seven-inch vinyl records and their seating plan and save-the-dates mirrored this design. Their homemade wedding cake also featured a musical touch, with tiny record details and a quirky cake topper.
When it came to colour schemes, the pair opted for something light and bright for summer. Pale blue and ivory tones were used throughout the décor and in the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. Gary also wore blue, donning a dark blue three-piece suit from Hugo Boss.
While the couple’s theme was very much rock and roll, Natasha’s gown was more conventional than her usual attire. She wanted something sophisticated yet comfortable and opted for a sleeveless gown with lace overlay and fishtail train. Her wedding shoes, however, were the epitome of her style – Adidas Superstars in glitter with white stripes.
Natasha and Gary tied the knot at West Tower with a simple civil ceremony in July. The couple’s favourite tunes were played during the ceremony while live music from an acoustic duo welcomed guests to the drinks reception.
The party sipped on peach Bellini cocktails and bottles of beer with delicious canapés and enjoying the acoustic music set. A wedding breakfast followed with yet more delicious eats and speeches, which included a video montage.
The evening’s celebrations were all about good music and partying on the dance floor. The pair’s first dance was Heaven Must Have Sent You, with epic tunes mixed by their DJ following all night. With a mix of the couple’s rock favourites and classic party tunes – the pair couldn’t have asked for anything better.
“The food was excellent and the service was everything we could have hoped for. Everyone was in high spirits. It was lovely.” – Natasha
