Jessica & Daniel met at work clicking together immediately; after a whirlwind romance they bought their first home together.
The couple had welcomed their daughter Amelie just four weeks earlier and were enjoying their first Christmas as a family. Whilst opening their gifts, Dan told Jess that he’d forgotten one last present and rushed to get it. On opening the box, Jess was surprised to find it contained a letter from Amelie and Dan which she quickly read. As soon as she looked up, Dan was on bended knee!
The couple looked at three different styles of venue – a barn, a hotel and then West Tower. As soon as they arrived, they knew they’d found their venue; West Tower fitted their Christmas wedding vision perfectly.
“We know people who’ve attended weddings at West Tower and they always comment how good the food is – Jess”
The Style of the day
Coupled with rich winter colours, twinkly lights and pine cones, the opulent decorations provided by West Tower completed the décor. The couple named the tables after their favourite Christmas films, with Crackers and Hot Chocolate cones given as favours!
In the excitement of her engagement Jess quickly bought her dress, later realising that it wasn’t right for her. Just five weeks before her big day, she visited a different bridal boutique hoping to find her dream dress. After trying on a dress that she would never have chosen herself, she stepped out of the dressing room. She felt amazing and knew instantly that she had to have the ‘St Patrick’ dress. In fact her new dress matched the champagne gold ‘Louboutins’ that her Dad had bought her – knowing how much she loved shoes! Her four bridesmaids wore Navy gowns with open back detail and gold shoes – perfect for the time of year.
Wearing navy blue and black tuxedo style suits, the groomsmen all wore black bow ties with the groom choosing burgundy.
Jess and her dad walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of the Greatest Showman’s ‘Never Enough’. After a short ceremony which included an emotional piece on Love by Bob Marley, the couple walked back down the aisle as man and wife to ‘Chandelier’ by Sia.
Keeping with the festive theme, guests loved the Mulled Wine along with Cava, Peroni and canapes in the Cellar Bar. The team at West Tower were able to cater for all guests including special diets too with everyone commenting how amazing the food was.
The evening celebrations got underway with Jess and Dan choosing ‘One Day Like This’ by Elbow as their first dance.
The live band and DJ kept the dance floor full all night with a Photobooth providing lots of fun! Light bites including fish & chips were served midway through the evening with the party continuing into the early hours!
“We had so much fun and everyone else seemed to be having so much fun around us, the Christmas spirit was well and truly alive on our big day” – Jess
