Carolyn and Kieran got engaged in October and both had their hearts set on a summer wedding. Rather than wait two years to tie the knot, they decided to plan their wedding in just nine months – and hoped they could still secure the perfect venue.
Finding West Tower online quickly, they knew it was the one. They were delighted to find a summer weekend date still available. Keen to secure the date, they visited the exclusive wedding venue that day booking their wedding at West Tower that evening.
“West Tower was beautiful inside and out and had real wow-factor – we just couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. We loved the main room and all the outside areas too and knew they’d make for beautiful photographs. Best of all, the wedding team were fantastic. We had complete confidence in all of the wedding planners.” – Carolyn
The style of the day
To help the pair style their day, they created their own Pinterest board. Carolyn’s favourite wedding ideas featured pastel colours like blush pink with vintage details such as pearls and lace. She used these ideas to give their special day an elegant touch, adding pink ruffles and flowers, lanterns and candles.
Carolyn treated guests to her own cake creation, baking and decorating her wedding cake with the help of her mum. The three-tiered fruit cake was iced in her blush pink colours and decorated with lace, ribbon, pearls and sugarcraft flowers.
When it came to her gown, Carolyn wanted something flattering and pretty. After struggling to find the perfect dress herself, she took the advice of staff at a wedding boutique. She ended up choosing their pick – an A-line strapless gown with tulle and lace layers. Her bridesmaids complemented her pretty look in blush pink dresses from ASOS while Kieran opted for a modern blue three-piece suit.
Carolyn and Kieran said “I do” at their local church, St. Aidans, before heading to West Tower for the celebrations. The pair were greeted with Cava and canapés, and spent time soaking up their marriage with friends and family outdoors.
Their wedding breakfast featured their favourite foods with chicken liver parfait starter, roast beef main and cappuccino cheesecake for dessert.
To kickstart their evening, Carolyn and Kieran warmed up the dance floor with a first dance to Marvin Gaye’s Sunny.
Their live band Superfreak was a real crowd pleaser and ensured the dance floor was packed all night.
“The food was outstanding. The West Tower team were great at accommodating all our needs. It really was our perfect day.” – Carolyn
