5 reasons why winter weddings at West Tower are magical

We love weddings at West Tower throughout the year, from the sunny garden celebrations in the summer months, to cosy autumnal evenings with dining by candlelight. Winter is an unforgettable season here, for all the right reasons. Let’s take a look at all the elements that make West Tower magical for winter weddings.

1. The ambience exudes romance

During cooler months, West Tower really comes into its own. Originally built as a private home and set amidst acres of beautiful countryside, when the weather is inclement West Tower feels like your home away from home. Exclusively yours, our country house wedding venue entices you in from the cold with its magnificent spaces, open fires and chandeliers.

2. You can say ‘I do’ in the beautiful Ballroom

We want you to get the most from your civil wedding venue and the Ballroom will allow you to do just that. Our elegant Ballroom provides an exclusive hideaway for your special moment, as well as making the perfect wedding reception venue. A neutral colour palette enables you to add your own choice of colour scheme, with floor to ceiling windows offering idyllic views over the countryside beyond.

3. There’s a festive vibe

If you’re tying the knot over the winter period and you’d like to embrace the Christmas festivities, West Tower is the place to be. We love to show off this beautiful house, so we have an impressive six Christmas trees from mid-November until January, including one in the Ballroom. With the addition of candlelight and fresh flowers, we don’t think there’s anywhere quite as special to be!

4. There are treats for your taste buds

Our talented team of chefs pride themselves in creating an exceptional dining experience for you and your guests, with carefully chosen wedding catering options to suit different times of the year. For a winter wedding, perhaps you might serve Braised Duck Leg with Spring Onion Mash, or the succulent Lamb shank served on a bed of Wholegrain Mustard Mash, Market Vegetable Bundle and Lamb Jus.  For pudding, we’re rather partial to the West Tower Chocolate Brownie served with a Toffee and Honeycomb Pot. And for the evening, how about a hog roast?

We also offer a varied wine list, and a great selection of cocktails for those looking for something a little different. On a chilly afternoon, why not serve Whisky Sours alongside a glass of fizz to welcome your guests?

5. You can spend the night

We don’t like travelling far on a winter’s night, and we’re sure you and your guests don’t either. Relax in the knowledge that our 19 luxurious bedrooms are at your disposal, with room for up to 45 people. Seven of these rooms are in the main house and include the opulent bridal suite, ‘Dom Perignon’, making West Tower one of the most luxurious wedding venues in the North West.
