Richard proposed to Vicky by the side of Lake Ullswater. This was somewhere they had visited each year and is a very special place to them. With this in mind, it was the perfect place for her to say ‘Yes’! They knew straight away that they wanted an exclusive wedding venue. Somewhere they could relax with their friends and family with no worries of meeting other bridal couples! After hearing about West Tower through friends, Vicky knew it was definitely somewhere to look at for her dream day.

The Style of the day
The couple chose a classic theme with a modern twist using a pale pink colour scheme. Candelabras were their table centrepieces decorated with flowers. Coupled with mirrored acrylic place names, table numbers and table plan, the décor had the modern feel they dreamed of. With chocolate coins as favours with the slogan “for richer for poorer” and a simple wedding cake the room was complete.
In spite of choosing her own dresses to try on, Vicky knew straightaway that her mum’s suggested dress was ‘the one’. Alongside the dress Vicky wore a medium length veil with a little sparkle and tiara style headpiece. To begin with, Vicky bought two pairs of wedding shoes, but couldn’t resist the Jimmy Choos!
When they arrived, she instantly put them on and walked around the house for hours after they were delivered! Her five bridesmaids all wore navy blue dresses with light pink Gerberas as their bouquets. The men all wore navy slim fit three piece suits with pink ties and pocket squares; Richard chose matching pink socks and brown shoes to complement the suits.
Vicky’s father walked her down the aisle whilst a string trio played in the background. After a short ceremony the happy couple left the ballroom as husband and wife! The string trio continued to play during the drinks reception in the cellar bar.
In a moment, it was time for Vicky and Richard to see the Ballroom transformed for their wedding breakfast. Following their three course meal the speeches had their guests entertained throughout with everyone laughing and crying at the same time!
The couple’s first dance was “I won’t give up” by Jason Mraz with meaningful lyrics. As a result their friends and family sang along too! After coming highly recommended, Steve Mitchell was their wedding DJ and didn’t fail to deliver. The dance floor was, in a word, ‘rocking’ the whole night through!
“The grounds and the views across the fields were beautiful and we were mesmerized by the stunning ballroom. If we could do it all again, we wouldn’t change one thing!” – Vicky
