Carly and David’s Dusky Pink Wedding Day

After David’s romantic proposal in New York’s Central Park, Carly and David knew they wanted an equally romantic setting for their vows. Their wedding venue musts included a fully exclusive venue in the North West – to ensure there was no one at the bar other than family and friends – and accommodation on-site, so that David and Carly could stay the night.

“We absolutely fell in love with West Tower. We loved the exclusivity, the space, the location and the views. We could visualise our whole wedding and knew it was the right venue for our special day.” – Carly

The Style of the day

Carly and David decided on a dusky pink wedding colour palette, perfect for summer. They combined dusky pink shades with ivory tones for a wedding that was both classic and pretty. The pair also sought help from the styling experts at Fantasy Wedding. Their stylist took care of all the little details and managed all the styling on the day, decorating everything from the wedding breakfast tables to Carly’s bridal bouquet. One of the prettiest touches was the sequinned table runners, which added a glam finish to the couple’s reception space.

Carly’s princess gown was the perfect complement to her dusky pink- wedding theme. Although she’d never planned to purchase a dress in that style, it was the only gown to overcome her and her mother with emotion. The wow-factor dress had a lace-up back, fitted body and a long train, which could be hitched up for the evening’s dancing. Her accessories were princess worthy too and included sparkly Kurt Geiger heels and a pretty tiara.

For their wedding favours, Carly and David gifted guests with Cancer Research pins. Having lost her dad to illness, Carly was keen to do her bit for charity rather than spend the favour budget on sweets. After all, guest’s appetites were more than satisfied with the couple’s wedding breakfast feast.

The Wedding

Carly and David exchanged vows at West Tower, with Carly’s father’s best friend Jack escorting her down the aisle. In fact, Jack played a key role in the couple’s day, inspiring guests with his touching speech and echoing what Carly’s father would have said at the wedding.

A little humour was thrown in too with hilarious anecdotes from the best man. His speech saw him ripping his shirt open and sharing tell-tale stories that got every guest laughing.

The couple’s evening reception started with a bang too. The pair decided to walk in to Punjabi MC – much to the surprise of their friends, who reacted with laughing and clapping before joining the pair on the dance floor.

“The whole day was amazing – from the ceremony to the speeches and our first dance. We just wish we could have stopped time so that we could look around and take it all in.” – Carly
